How to Forward Outlook 2007 Folders to Another Mailbox
- 1). Open the "Mail" tab, click on the "Tools" menu, select "Rules and Alerts," select the desired email account and click "New Rule."
- 2). Click on the "Check messages when they arrive" button, click "Next," and, then, under "Step 1" and "Step 2," select the same criteria for incoming mail as you did for the original message rule (the one that you made to sort specific emails into a specific folder). For example, choose "From" under "Step 1" and type the desired email address (such as, janejones@example.com) in "Step 2." As another example, choose "Subject" under "Step 1" and type a keyword in "Step 2."
- 3). Click "Next," select "Forward it to people or distribution list," then click the "People or distribution list" button and select the desired email address or email address list to which the emails should be forwarded.
- 4). Click "OK," click "Next," click "Next" again, type a name for the new message rule, and, if desired, select "Run this rule now on messages already in (folder name)."
- 5). Select "Create this rule on all accounts" to apply it to every email account you have in Outlook 2007 (optional), then click "Finish" to enable forwarding for emails sorted into the folder you selected.
