On this episode of The Oprah Winfrey Show Oprah welcomed legendary Hollywood actor Michael Douglas and the co-founder of Nike, a man who rarely gives interviews, Phil Knight. Both men spoke about the history of their careers, what they have learned through the years, and how family is really at the center of both men's lives. Michael Douglas opened up about his personal struggles and battle with cancer, while Phil Knight shared about his dedication to providing the ultimate in research and gear for today's and tomorrow's athletes.

Now cancer free, Michael Douglas revealed how he ignored his symptoms before his throat cancer was finally uncovered at stage 4. Fighting off his disease gave him a greater appreciation for his family and friends. With a grown son, in prison for selling drugs, and two young children at home with wife Catherine Zeta Jones, Michael Douglas' priority lies with finding balance with his family, career, and health. Phil Knight of Nike rarely conducts interviews, but made an exception for the final season of Oprah. Describing his childhood love of baseball that shifted into a college track career, it was Knight's love of sports and bond with his coach that led to a small shop in Oregon turning into one of the most successful companies in the world. Starting out to make shoes that runners wanted to wear, Nike now makes shoes for all athletes and supports 7000 employees.
