  Rock Point, Arizona, is near Monument Valley in Apache County, Arizona, in the upper northeast part of the state. The majority of the population is American Indian. Those who choose to visit Rock Point, Arizona will be greeted with red rocks for hiking and climbing, river rapids, a lake and plenty of other outdoor activities. Rock Point shares a border with Utah and most of the lodging is located in small towns between Rock Point and the Utah border.
  
  

The Hat Rock Inn

• The Hat Rock Inn is located above the Gypson Rapids on the San Juan River on the border of Arizona and Utah. Across from the Hat Rock Inn is a quarter-mile path that leads to a private, undeveloped beach on Lake Powell, which is open to guests of the Hat Rock. The beach area offers tubing, rafting and trails for horseback riding and four-wheeling. The Hat Rock Inn is not part of the Navaho nation so there is little restriction as to serving alcohol or to exploring the premises.
  
  

Mexican Hat Lodge

• The Mexican Hat Lodge was once an old Indian bar and dance hall that was remodeled in the early 1990s. The Mexican Hat Lodge is located in the Monument Valley on the Utah/Arizona border. This hotel has 10 rooms, each of which is different from the other. There is only one two-bedroom suite at the hotel, which can sleep six on two queen beds and a pullout sofa. While staying at Mexican Hat Lounge guests can enjoy horseback riding, river rafting and hiking to places such as Mexican Hat Rock,Valley of the Gods and Grand Gulch Primitive Area.
  
  

The Hampton Inn

• The Hampton Inn Hotel is located in Kayenta in the Monument Valley. Kayenta is considered the gateway to the Monument Valley and is a starting point for visiting Rock Point, Lake Powell and the Valley of the Gods. Hampton Inn Kayenta features a three-story adobe style hotel with 78 rooms, a fireplace in the lobby and rooms that are decorated in traditional American Indian style.This hotel sits right on the Navaho reservation and offers guests free breakfast and other traditional amenities such as laundry service and access to the Internet.
