Sabor Vallero Latin Dance Company, while not technicaly a bar as it does not offer alcoholic beverages, is a dance club in the heart of Harlingen that offers a variety of lessons in the hottest Latin dance moves. Classes specialize in moves including the Cha Cha, Bachata and the Merengue. For those interested in lessons, the Sabor Vallero Latin Dance Company caters to individuals and groups of all sizes. In addition to private lessons, open dance is offered to those who want to meet new people, mingle and just have fun. As of August, 2010, there was no cover charge for open dance and private lessons are specially priced depending on selection and group size.

Toucan Lounge

• Just a short 25-minute drive outside of Harlingen's city limits, the Toucan Lounge is located in the popular tourist destination of South Padre Island. The Toucan Lounge offers a full bar featuring a variety of mixed and frozen drinks, foreign and domestic beers and a full wine list. The Toucan Lounge also offers a menu of traditional bar foods including burgers and nachos. Guests of the Toucan Club can dance the night away to tunes provided by some of the area's hottest DJs through a mix of rock, salsa and Top 40 tunes. As of August, 2010, there was no cover charge and guests must be 21 years old to get in.

Karma Nightclub

• The Karma Restaurant and Nightclub is an upscale restaurant, bar and dance club located just 23 miles outside of Harlingen's city limits in the city of Brownsville, Texas. The Karma Nightclub offers dance cages and a raised dance floor complete with high tech light shows that can accommodate up to 300 people dancing the night away to the techno and Top 40 sounds of DJs Danny & Johnny. Karma Nightclub also offers a full service bar stocked with a wine and champagne list, foreign and domestic beers and myriad of frozen and mixed drink choices. Three separate VIP rooms are available to accommodate private parties and special events for an additional charge. As of August, 2010, there was no cover charge and admission was 18 and up.
