Spurs Will Always Be a Contender
The San Antonio Spurs is probably the most successful team not only in the NBA but also in any sports in the past 10 years.
They have captured the title four times since 1999.
The core of Tim Duncan, Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili has really worked wonders for their team.
And of course, Gregg Popovich is one of the best coaches out there.
This season, many had downplayed their lofty stature.
Who could blame them? With the powerhouse Boston, and improving Orlando Magic hitting their strides, prognosticators have really forgotten how powerful the Spurs are.
The Spurs do not mind it though; they just show what they have to.
You don't need to look far to see how great the Spurs are.
Actually I have 5 reasons to show why they can still dominate this league.
1.
Tim Duncan is almost a god.
Timmy has always kept himself in a low-profile stature.
He doesn't talk much, doesn't boast much and sometimes, doesn't even score much.
But the thing is he will always be a great player.
He always increases his performance during postseason and he has shown that he can make impact in the team.
2.
Defense wins championship.
But make no mistake about it; they are also one of the best offensive teams in this league.
They can run a fast tempo game and also play a much sought half court offense.
Their defense is just awesome.
You can always see that their goal is to stop their opponents.
3.
Front Office is superb.
All I can say is they have an underrated management.
Their staffs are just too genius.
They never made mistakes in terms of acquiring players and transactions.
They just dedicate themselves to the success of the team.
4.
Gregg has a lot of magic beans to spill.
Is Gregg a rocket scientist? The answer is yes! It means he is too smart that every thing that he created can work for the team.
It's also not hard to give him an A for motivating his players.
There are not so many coaches in NBA that can hammer his team hard to play as Pop does.
5.
Players are like puzzles.
This is so true.
They complement each other in a way that even their lineup is not powerhouse; they can still manage to win.
You see teams like Denver, Houston, New York.
Yes, they have the best collections of talents, but can they pile up many "W's"?
