Florida has many historic buildings and some of its haunted hotels were built in early 20th century. Each hotel is full of history and every room has a story of its own. - The elegant Biltmore Hotel was built in 1925. During World War II, the hotel was converted by the War Department into a hospital. In this hospital, many soldiers lost their lives. During 1968, Biltmore was turned back into a hotel and in 1983, the hotel was completely restored. The 13th floor of the hotel is said to be haunted by the men who lost their lives there. Guests have claimed to see and hear strange noises and lights on this floor as well.

biltmorehotel.com - The Gibson Inn was created using the "cracker" style of wood frame. This type of style was used in the 19th and early 20th centuries in Florida. The Gibson Inn is located between Pensacola and Jacksonville. The inn was completely restored in 1985. The inn is said to be haunted by a man who died from pneumonia while lodging there. Apparitions have been seen in the bar, dining area and in room #128.
