Just check out the information sections of any of the hotels in Chester and you will find a plenitude of goings-on designed to wear out the little ones!
Family Days Out
There is just as much family entertainment to be had in the surrounding Cheshire as there is in the city, so why not go to Gulliver's World Resort and get on the swinging pirate ship or log flume rides? It is a family-run theme park for those families with children aged between 2 and 13. Or for the families who want a bit of education and discovery, there is the Jodrell bank Discovery Centre where you can walk around the base of their gigantic telescope and uncover the wonders of the universe! The braver children (and parents!) might prefer swinging through the trees on zip wires and rope bridges suspended 120 feet above the forest floor with the Tree Top Adventure course at Delamere Forest. The adventure course is open to children 10 years or older. These are just a few examples of course, but other activities should be found on display in any of the hotels in Chester.
Activities Surrounding Chester
If parents are looking for something closer to home, there are plenty of activities near to any of the hotels in Chester. Take the kids to Chester Zoo to meet some of the 8,000 animals including some of the most endangered species in the world (and some extinct creatures with the new robotic dinosaur exhibit open this year for the boys). Or there is always the Blue Planet Aquarium which houses 50 different exhibits where you can watch the dive team feed the fish and view a terrifying collection of sharks in a 70m length underwater tunnel. You also have the chance to take a ride at the Grosvenor Park Miniature Railway which is only a few minutes' walk from the city centre. Though unfortunately, rather than delivering you straight to the door of any of the hotels in Chester, it instead circles the park and a pond full of ducks so should not really be depended on for city-wide transport! And again, this really is just a taste of what is fully on offer around all of the hotels in Chester for families looking to enjoy the city in each other's company.
