Recover a Deleted List from the Deleted items
To recover your accidentally deleted distribution group go to the Deleted Items folder and you can recover the deleted items from it. For that just locate your list in Deleted items and drag it back to the Contact button. So with it you can recover the Accidentally deleted items.
But the question is How to do the recovery if you have permanently deleted (Shift + Delete) the Distribution list?
You can not recover the Shift Deleted items from the Reovery items because they will not be there. To recover them follow the following steps: -
1). Open the registry settings by typing regedit in the Run prompt.
2). Now navigate to the following key :
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE >> Software >> Microsoft > > Exchange > > Client >> Options.
3). Now select the Edit button appearing on the top menu and point your cursor to New and Select the DWORD Value
4).Now type DumpsterAlwyasOn
5). Set the value of Dword to 1
6). Now Open the Outlook and open Delete Item folder. After it click on the tools and select Recovedrred Deleted items
With it you can easily recover the Deleted items. But in case of corruption, it might be not possible to perform the recovery using this manual steps. For that you have to repair the corrupted database. Microsoft offers a utility named as EXmerge with which you can perform the recovery operation, but It has a limitation due to which it was not preferred by many of the users. It can perform the recovery of the Exchange database having size less than 2GB. But as we know that EDB contains the huge data including emails, calender, task, jonourls etc. So crossing the threshold of 2GB is common for EDB file and hence Exmerge fails to perform the recovery operation !!
Now the question is how to perform the recovery of the Exchange Database having size more than 2GB: -
Here you need the help of a utility which can perform the required task. Microsoft does not offer any utility to solve this issue So you have to look for something different. Here third party solution is helpful for you.
