  Western Arizona features a sunny, arid climate with opportunities to explore the southwestern desert and mountains. The area offers a variety of outdoor recreation activities for active seniors, including hiking, golf and fishing. Several senior RV parks in western Arizona also offer community activities and classes, as well as rates to accommodate guests who plan to stay for a few days up to several months.
  
  

Del Pueblo RV Park

• Del Pueblo RV Park and Tennis Resort, located in southeast Yuma, is a gated, 55-and-over community with 475 RV sites on more than 40 acres. Each site has full hookups for 20-, 30- and 50-amp RVs. Other park amenities include cable TV, WiFi, a full-service beauty salon, a reading center and a dog run. The centrally located recreation center features a heated swimming pool, a heated lap pool, fitness center, clubhouse and spa tub. Lighted tennis courts, horseshoe pits and volleyball areas are among other outdoor sports facilities. The park also offers easy access to golf courses, bike paths and hiking trails.

Arizona Sun RV Park

• Located a few miles from the California-Arizona border, Arizona Sun RV Park is a family-owned senior park in the small town of Quartzsite. The facility has 133 drive-thru, full-hookup sites with electrical and phone services. On-site amenities include a clubhouse, laundry facilities, and planned activities and classes such as horseshoe and shuffleboard tournaments, bingo, music programs and craft classes. The RV park is located within easy walking distance of the city library and park. It also sits across the street from Bureau of Land Management desert open space, with hiking and ATV trails.
