Tazocin Uses

• Tazocin is commonly used to treat severe upper-respiratory infections, abdominal infections, urinary tract infections, skin infections, bacterial blood infections and appendicitis, and it is sometimes offered to people who have neutropenia, a condition characterized by low white-blood-cell production. This medication is supplied via intravenous drip. Side effects associated with Tazocin include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, Candida overgrowth, headache, sleep disturbances, hypotension, gastrointestinal issues and fatigue. Allergic responses are identified by the development of a rash, a skin reaction at the injection site, flushing, eczema onset, hives and itchiness, and in extreme cases hallucinations can occur.
  
  

Cefuroxime

Tierney explain that cefuroxime is an alternative medication for penicillin and penicillin-based medications such as Tazocin, and is available by prescription. Cefuroxime is sold under the brand name of Ceftin; this medication can be used to fend off infections associated with the throat, the urinary tract, ears, lungs, skin and sinuses. Sometimes this medication is used to deal with symptoms associated with gonorrhea or Lyme disease. Cefuroxime hinders the formation of bacteria cells and promotes bacterial cell death. Consume oral doses of this medication with or without a meal. Swallow this medication whole and do not chew. Take cefuroxime as prescribed by your physician and complete the entire course of this medication to treat your infection.
  
  Minor side effects may include diarrhea, nausea and vomiting. Stop taking this medication immediately and contact your doctor if you notice symptoms of an allergic reaction. Allergic symptoms include itchiness, respiratory difficulties and pain in your chest, swelling of your tongue, face, mouth or lips, hives, and/or the onset of a rash.
  
  

Doxycycline

Doxycycline is sold under many different brand names, including Vibramycin Monohydrate, Oraxyl, Vibramycin, Vibra-Tabs, Vibramycin Calcium, Doryx, Periostat, Adoxa, Avidoxy and Alodox. These medications are available via prescription and are a form of tetracycline, an antibiotic that hinders the growth of bacteria in your body. Doxycycline can be used to treat infectious conditions, such as periodontal disease, gonorrhea, skin conditions, skin infections and rosacea. Take the full course of this antibiotic to treat an infection and follow your doctor's dosing instructions.
  
  Signs of an allergic response to doxycycline include respiratory difficulties, hive formations, the onset of a rash, facial swelling, and swelling of the tongue, throat and mouth. Cease using doxycycline and contact your doctor if you experience extreme side effects. Side effects include dizziness, vision complications, headaches, chills, body aches, fevers, decreased urination, appetite changes, jaundice and body weakness.
  
  

Erythromycin

Erythromycin is sold under brand names such as Erythrocin Stearate Filmtab, Ery-Tab, E.E.S., E.E.S granules, EyrPed and PCE Dispertab. This medication is available by prescription and is a macrolide antibiotic, meaning it hinders the growth of bacteria and may kill the bacteria by reducing proteins needed for the bacteria's survival. This medication is used to treat conditions related to a variety of infectious conditions.
  
  Do not take erythromycin if you use cisapride or pimozide to avoid developing heart rhythm complications. Use the medication as the doctor prescribes. Complete the entire course of this antibiotic. Take erythromycin on an empty stomach or with a meal, with milk or with 8 oz of water. Swallow the medication whole unless you are prescribed a chewable form of erythromycin.
  
  Allergic symptoms of this medication include hives, respiratory difficulties, facial swelling and swelling of the mouth, throat and tongue. Other serious side effects include chest pain, irregular heartbeats, lightheadedness, fainting, gastrointestinal issues, jaundice, watery stools and bloody stools. Stop using the medication and contact a doctor immediately if you note allergic symptoms or serious side effects.
