How to Assign a Sticky Key to Your Internet Explorer Favorites
- 1). Open Internet Explorer by clicking on the desktop icon or locating the shortcut under the My Programs option.
- 2). Locate the "Favorites" option, which may be located along the top of the browser next to "File", "Edit", "View", "Tools" and "Help." Click on the "Favorites" icon, which will open a side bar with all the sites you have saved as your favorites.
- 3). Right click on the site you wish to assign a sticky key. Click "Properties" in the dialogue box that opens, which will be the last option within the box.
- 4). Look for the "Shortcut Key" text box, which is located in the Properties box that just opened. The text box will say "None" if a sticky key is not assigned to it.
- 5). Press a letter or number on the keyboard to assign it to the website. Upon doing so, the text box will automatically populate "Ctrl + Alt +" after the "Alt" will be the letter or number you selected.
- 6). Press "Ok" and the Properties box will disappear. Test the sticky key application by pressing Ctrl + Alt + the key you assigned to the site. If done correctly, the website will automatically pull up.
