How to Make a Michelle Pfeiffer Catwoman Mask
- 1). Wrap the wig stand tightly in plastic wrap. This will allow the latex to peel away cleanly.
- 2). Apply a first layer of liquid latex to the wig stand using a disposable brush. Cover the entire area the mask must encompass and more. (You'll trim it later.) Don't worry about eye holes.
- 3). Let the first layer dry. The time this takes will vary depending on how thick it is, but it should be between 20 and 40 minutes.
- 4). Create a skeleton for the ear shapes. Cut two identical triangles from scrap leather. To match the mask Michelle Pfeiffer wore, make each shape an equilateral triangle with a wide base and a short height.
- 5). Attach the ear cutouts to the skull. Using a little wet latex as glue, attach the ears to the rear sides of the skull with the base of the triangles facing out.
- 6). Add additional layers of latex to the mask, covering the ears each time to incorporate them into the design. Let each layer dry before adding the next. Keep adding layers until the mask is about 1/8 inch thick.
- 7). Draw the outline of the mask's cut shape on the latex with your white grease pencil. Observe the shape of the Michelle Pfeiffer Catwoman mask in the photo and imitate it; make the eye holes wide and round (enough to reveal both eyebrows). Outline the bottom of the face to leave the tip of the nose uncovered. Draw a line for the back of the mask where the base of the head meets the neck.
- 8). Peel the mask away from the wig stand.

Remove the plastic wrap, and place the mask back on the wig stand. - 12
Paint "stitching" on the mask with white acrylic paint. Look to your photo to see where to paint short, thick white lines. Don't forget to paint stitch lines on the edges of the ears.
