However a study has been conducted which proves social media platform use for business can increase a company's lead conversion rate.
The main jist of the report is that the more people are exposed to a brand the more likely they are to buy directly from that business, which proves that social networking does play a role in influencing peoples purchasing behaviour.
Here are couple of interesting facts that emerged from the report: If customers are exposed to a brand's social media campaign as well as paid search programs, they are 2.
8 times more likely to direct search for that specific brand's product or services, in comparison to when consumers only saw paid search programs.
There is a 50% increase in the click-through rates in a paid search when customers were previously exposed to influences social media campaigns and paid search programs.
The click-through rate on a paid search for customers using a brand's specific product name within the search bar rose from 4.
5% to 11.
8% for those people who were exposed to social media campaigns for those brands.
And the organic search, the click-through rate rose 2.
4 times.
So as these results show, you may not receive strong leads directly through a campaign but by building your online presence and brand awareness it will have a subliminal affect on your consumers.
