Niagara Falls is a favorite tourist destination that is located in both Canada and the United States. An estimated 13 million people visit the falls every year. The American Falls is 180 feet tall and can be viewed from the Niagara Falls State Park all year long from 7 a.m. to midnight. The Niagara River, which is actually a strait, connects Lake Erie and Lake Ontario, which are both part of the Great Lakes system. Niagara Falls is filled with things to do for people of all ages. - The Maid of the Mist boat tour is a 30-minute tour of both the Canadian and American falls. Waterproof clothing is available. The tour is available from the observation tower elevator at Prospect Point, which is in the state park. The tour is open from mid-May until late October. Maid of the Mist tours are open to all ages. As of August 2010, there is a charge of $13.50 for adults and $7.85 for children, with those under 5 riding for free.

The Canadian side of the falls features the Canada One Factory Outlet, which is boasted as the No. 1 outlet mall in Canada. There are 40 brand name stores, including Adidas, Coach, Esprit and Guess. Canada One Factory Outlet is open almost all year, closing only on Christmas day.

This iTheatre production runs from May to October. There are two shows currently featured entitled "The Last Illusionist" and "The Secret of Butlersburg." Free parking is available, and the theater has group rates. Mystery on the Lake is located both in Niagara Falls and Niagara on the Lake, Ontario.

In New York, the Wine and Culinary Festival at Artpark is usually held around July or August. Concerts and family activities are also held at this venue.
