About.com: That's great – and a true endorsement for the show. Kids are nothing if not honest.

Roggin: That's so true! And they were yelling out answers, and running to the computer to Google more. They really had fun with it.

About.com: Well the neat thing about The Money List is that the categories are so varied. Chances are that, during each episode, there will be at least a couple of them that you'll know fairly well.

Roggin: And it's so interesting to watch the contestants, and see just how quickly they start working together. You know, it's as if someone said to us, "Okay Fred and Carrie, you're a team and now you're going to play this game to win $50,000." It's just immediate, you want to win and you'll trust this other person, who you've never actually met, with your life in the game.

There was one pair, and I don't want to spoil anything with specifics, but the list category came up, and one person basically said, "I have no idea." So it came down to absolute trust, where the other team member took complete control of the round.

About.com: I just quickly wanted to mention that I had posted a little while ago on Twitter that I'd be speaking to you, and a couple of people responded with questions they wanted me to ask you.

Roggin: Sure!

About.com: Okay, first, Chico wants to know what happened to Roggin's Heroes.

Roggin:Roggin's Heroes was a nationally syndicated show, and it did fairly well nationally.

Now though, it's on in the L.A. market, and it runs during football season as part of a half-hour series called The Challenge.

About.com: Second, Chad wants to know, if you could host any game show, past or present, which one would it be?

Roggin: Any game show. Wow. Okay, can I do an A/B thing here?

About.com: Go for it.

Roggin: Okay. A, The Money List. And B, The Price is Right.

About.com: Really? Why?

Roggin: Because it's fast, there are lots of games, anyone can win. There are all kinds of different people who show up to play.

About.com: That's true of The Money List as well – the contestants were really quite varied, with different ages, careers, life experiences, etc.

Roggin: Yes, and I loved that. And it was so funny, because some of them, they'd write down that they wanted to be paired with, you know, an older well-educated man, and we'd pair them with a young woman or something. We really got a laugh out of those situations.

The contestants though, I love looking into their eyes and watching as they process information. It comes at them so fast, whether they win or lose – it can be life-changing for them if they win a lot of money. But I really hated to see them lose. I hated that. You see them competing, and you can see the agony when things don't work out for them.

When they lost, I went over to them and hugged them. I thanked them for being there, and just talked with them. I was genuinely thrilled with the contestants we had. Before she show started, I'd go into the holding area to just say hi and introduce myself. I told them that I was there to take care of them and help guide them along the way.

About.com: Fred, I have to say that I've really enjoyed speaking with you! It sounds like you've got a lot of passion for the show, and I'm looking forward to the other eight episodes that I haven't seen yet.

Roggin: I hope you love them! I hope everyone does. And thanks for your time today!

About.com: I was just about to say that to you as well – thanks for telling us all about the show. Best of luck with it!

You can catch The Money List starting June 13 on GSN, at 9:30pm. Big Saturday Night premieres June 13 as well, from 8pm to 11pm Eastern. If you're on Twitter, you can follow Fred Roggin there too.
