Having your favourite foods while on your diet is a must. Why? Well if we dont next time we are at that birthday party, we will be eyeing up that chocolate cake, ready to devour it in one foul swoop. Never mind everyone else, we are so sugar deprived, we could eat that whole cake on its own. Sound familiar?? Sure does. When we are on a strict diet which limits our favourite foods, will only end in a binge that is likely to put you back on track to gain back that weight you worked so hard at losing. Having your favourite foods in your diet will make sure you do not feel deprived and it will mean you will have the will power to say no to that second piece of chocolate cake.

Its hard to say no, especially to your favourite foods. When we are on a strict diet its drilled into us that to actually succeed we will have to stop eating all the things in life that really make life worth living. Making sure that we are on the right kind of diet that allows us to still enjoy the simple pleasures of life, is the best way we can actually succeed and maintain our weight loss.

Slipping up and eating things that are not really on your diet is part of any diet really, and part of being human. No one is 100% no matter how much they think they are. Maintaining a positive attitude towards your weight loss, will ensure that when you do have a slip up, you are not going to use this as an excuse to undo all the good work you have been doing. Support is another big key when you are trying to lose weight. Its hard doing it on your own. There are so many obstacles out there that will really hinder our weight loss efforts. Having someone who understands or someone who is going through the same thing as we are, usually is a great way to getting past those tricky times.
