Choosing the Perfect Chihuahua From the Right Breeder is Very Important!
It's not easy to choose your perfect pet.
First, you have to be sure that a Chihuahua is the right dog for you.
It's not fair to you - or the dog - if you find out you're not compatible AFTER you make your pet part of the family.
Here are some questions to consider:
Asking lots of questions will help you get to know more about the breeder, and the breed themselves.
Don't be afraid to ask them about health problems Chihuahuas might get in the future, foods they eat, how often they need to be groomed, what kind of personality they have, and how big and/or protective they will get.
Remember, if the breeder doesn't seem interested in answering your questions, find someone else to buy your dog from.
Breeders should love their dogs, and be happy to help find them the right home.
Be prepared for the breeder to ask you questions too.
They will be looking for the best possible match for their puppies.
Also keep in mind that good breeders won't sell their puppies until they are around 10 to 12 weeks old.
Try and find a breeder who will be happy to help you with any questions you have after buying the puppy, or one who can recommend a veterinarian who might be able to help you.
It's a good idea to view the puppies in person to see what they are really like, but if you live in a different area to the breeder consider arranging a Skype meeting.
This will give you the most accurate indication of what your potential puppy is really like.

- What kind of lifestyle do I lead? Do I spend a lot of time away from home?
- How often will I be able to exercise the dog?
- What kind of personality should a dog have?
- How much time can I devote to grooming the dog?
- Do I want a pet to play with, or a dog to protect me?
