After 'Koi Mil Gaya' and 'Dhoom 2', once again Hrithik Roshan has proved his superb acting talent in 'Jodhaa Akbar'.
In 'Jodhaa Akbar' Hrithik as Emperor Jalaluddin Mohammad Akbar is undoubtedly looking awesome! His acting, style of speaking and body languages as an emperor is really very impressive that you can't imagine anyone else in place of him, once you see the movie.
Produced by Ronnie Screwvala and directed by Ashutosh Gowariker.
'Jodhaa Akbar' is a love story of the greatest Mughal Emperor Jalaluddin Mohammad Akbar and Rajput Princess Jodhaa.
Set in the sixteenth century, this epic romance begins as a marriage of alliance between two cultures and religions, for political gain, with the Hindu King Bharmal of Amer giving his daughter's hand to a Muslim Emperor, Akbar.
With Hrithik Roshan as Emperor Akbar and Aishwarya Rai as Princess Jodhaa this is a superb creation of the director Ashutosh Gowariker.
After releasing in all movie halls of India on 14th February 2008, 'Jodhaa Akbar' is now the hottest discussing topic among allmovie lovers, and naturally the name of Hrithik is coming out due to his mind blowing acting.
The enormity of 'Jodhaa Akbar' makes every scene look magnanimous.
Hrithik is looking amazing in every part of the movie whether it's a battle or a love seen.
Ashutosh Gowarikar's first right step for this movie was to select Hrithik as Emperor Akbar.
The latest addition in the list of people for giving Hrithik an imperative compliment is nothing but the Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan.
On seeing Hrithik's trance dance during the qawaali 'Khwaja Mere Khwaja', Amitabh Bachchan observed that not since Stanley Kubrick's legendary sci-fi 2001: A Space Odyssey has there been such an apocalyptic moment on film! "That compliment just blew my mind," says Hrithik.
Hrithik also said "Doing Jodhaa-Akbar wasn't easy for me.
That dance in a trance was especially difficult.
When Ashutosh Gowariker explained the situation I just didn't know how to go about it! In that moment of spiritual ecstacy what does my character experience? I was completely puzzled.
" "I joined the singers to dance with one hand pointing towards heaven, which was receiving the divine gift, while my other hand pointed to the ground, which meant I was connecting the gift received from divinity to people down below.
I was the medium, the recipient of divine communication," he said.
Commenting about the film's distribution strategy, Siddharth Roy Kapur, director, UTV Motion Pictures said: "Sensing the hype and curiosity created around Jodhaa Akbar in the US market, we released 129 prints of the film, the highest for any Hindi film released in the US.
In India, we have released 500 physical prints and 400 digital prints and since there are no major Hindi releases, we expect Jodhaa Akbar to do very well.
