    • 1). Plug the narrow end of the USB cable into the top of the PSP console. Attach the other end of the cable to an open USB port on your computer.

    • 2). Turn on the console and press the "Home" button to return to the home menu. Navigate to the left for "Settings," then scroll up and select "USB connection."

    • 3). Open the Memory Stik Duo folder on your computer. It should appear under "Removable media" in My Computer or on the desktop.

    • 4). Open the "Music" folder. Right-click or command-click to create a new folder, and give this folder a title, such as an album title or a genre.

    • 5). Drag and drop all of the music you're selecting into that folder. If you don't already have music on your PSP, you can copy it to the console now, from whichever folder you keep your music in--usually a "My Music" folder somewhere on your hard drive.

    • 6). Wait for the file transfers or copying to complete. If the files are already on the PSP system, this will be a quick process. If you're copying from your computer, however, this will take more time.

    • 7). Eject the Memory Stik from your computer by right-clicking or command-clicking on it. Press the "Circle" button on your PSP to end the USB connection.

    • 8). Navigate right on the PSP home menu until you see "Music." Select the memory card and scroll through your music folders.
