If you have a boat, then you are a lucky person! Fishing from a boat is so much better than fishing off the shore, for a massive number of reasons.
The main one in my opinion is that you are able to get to new areas.
When a place becomes popular that is easy to access, every man and his dog goes there, night after night and eventually there is nothing left.
I have seen this so many times.
When you have a boat though, you can go wherever you want, and with only a small percentage of people being able to do the same you have a much higher chance of getting good fish.
Even better is that you don't have to go very far to get a good feed.
Sure, if you are after the massive fish then you need to head out into deeper water, but for the most part fishing within a few kilometers of the beach will usually yield some amazing results.
A lot of people mount electric motors onto their boats as they are much quieter, and are said to stop the fish from getting scared away.
These are only small motors designed to keep the boat in one place, or move slowly up a creek.
Boats are a lot of fun regardless of the size as well.
When it's rough you can stay sheltered in the middle of the river, or if you have a larger boat you can still venture out.
I only have a little 14 foot tinny, but it does more than what we need it to and we have caught some huge fish from it.
You just need to make the time to take the boat out fishing and you will be surprised at what you can catch.
