I don't know of a single person who does not want to travel abroad, take a villager or a polished city folk.
Everyone wants to at least once see the other part of the world.
A decade ago, traveling to foreign lands was considered a big deal, now - it's just another thing to do.
People, who possess money, have it easy.
They can travel anytime of the year, anywhere.
But some of us need to collect that money after hard labor to fulfill that wish.
There are some prevalent ways to be able to travel to foreign countries without spending much.
You can easily sustain yourself without spending much from own pocket.
1.
Exchange programs - Lot of universities run student exchange programs, try finding if your university supports one too.
Or better, get into a university which does.
Do your research beforehand.

Professional exchange programs - There are Intern providing organizations like AIESEC etc, present in majority of countries, which help you get a stipend in exchange of working in your area of interest at the same time promoting cultural exchange and harmony.
Though one has to work, but can easily accommodate traveling in that time and the overall experience turns out fantastic because you are not just traveling but connecting and interacting with people at the ground level.

International organizations - like United Nations, CRY and many more offer Volunteer programs in other parts of the world, though you might end up spending some bucks from the pocket but most of the expenses are covered in program.

Use the internet for shelter - Yes, if used wisely, you can probably find friendly people who are willing to give you accommodation or help in other ways for probably nothing at all.
Just out of friendship maybe, Please don't use it as an exploitation tool though.

Jobs - another very prevalent trend is to get into jobs which require good amount of traveling on companies' expense.
It can be in any field - from business development to client servicing to research to government! You just need to do the homework about which job & company to get in.
