Conversations with My TV

I don't know if you would call this paranormal or coincidental, but I think it's a little too freaky to just be coincidence. Here's what's been happening to me for the past two weeks.

My television has been practically carrying on a conversation with me whenever it is on, and my whole family hears it, too. Even they can't understand what's going on. I'll have to give examples to explain this. The first time it happened, my husband had just come home from work and asked me what we were having for supper.

I told him meatloaf. The TV was on, and as soon as I said meatloaf, the TV said, "Did you say meatloaf?"

My husband and I looked at each other and said, "Whoa!" in unison, and the TV said, "Have no fear, meatloaf is my favorite meal."

Okay, another example. My kids and I were making homemade clay one day, and the TV was on. I told my kids to stir the clay so it wouldn't stick to the pan, and the TV said, "That's right, keep the heat down low and stir slowly." My kids and I looked at each other with mouths open and big wide eyes, and the TV said, "Don't look too surprised. Learn to expect tips from me."

Now, another day I was home alone cleaning with the TV playing in the background. I began singing the song "Yesterday" by the Beatles, and the TV said, "Today is tomorrow's yesterday, by the way." I was alone at the time with no one to tell, so I began talking out loud.

I said, "How do you know what I'm going to say?"

The TV said, "Why do people question what they already know?"

I said out loud, "Oh my God!

Why is this happening to me?"

The TV responded with, "We have amazing technology now."

I said, "Amazing technology, yes, but not so amazing that you can have a conversation with me."

The TV responded with, "Have a seat and I'll tell you everything you need to know."

I said, "Okay, that's it. I'm frightened and I'm leaving."

The TV said, "Well, I'll say goodbye for now." And I turned the TV off and left.

Later, when I came home, my kids were watching TV, and I said, "Oh dear. I hope the TV is done talking to me for today."

Right then, a gruff man's voice on the TV said, "It's a damn good thing you're home now." I couldn't believe it. There are many more of these coincidences -- too numerous to mention.

However, less than five minutes ago, while I was typing my story, the TV said, "This is an omen, my friend." I turned it off right then and there. Now, to some, this may sound like interesting fun. But to me, it's a bit too creepy, and I think I will leave the TV off as much as I can. So, what does everyone think, coincidence or paranormal? I don't know, so you be the judge.
