When You Think You Are Too Old to Take Up Dancing, Think Again

When age seems to be the excuse you are using for whatever it is you want to do, but are not doing, give it up! Want to go dancing? Start today, pick up one foot before the other (this usually helps keep you upright on the floor), then place that foot back down and pick up the other! It really is that simple, sure you won't be doing the cha cha at first, but you might be doing the Tennessee Waltz before you know it, how about seeing yourself doing the two step? Your thoughts are all that hold you back from being able to dance! When we allow ourselves the excuse that we are too old to do anything, we begin to live in a state of sedentary living that will spiral us to the loss of the muscle tone we have maintained thus far in our lives, to say nothing of what we are capable of building up to!  The only thing we need to do is believe we can do something, in order to do it.
Take people who have never been walking advocates, yet they take it up in their eighties, build up a regular routine of walking until they walk in marathons, you can do this too! Stop using age as the reason, use it as a guide to the speed with which you tackle a project, as you may need to build up to something before jumping in with all guns! But don't forget to jump in, get moving, get walking, get to dancing, you can do it!
