It is very important to see a doctor if you believe you might be suffering from Tinnitus because in some cases, the condition can be the symptom of a more serious problem.
Although in most cases, Tinnitus is not considered serious, there are rare situations when this disorder can be a symptom of an aneurysm or an acoustic tumor or brain tumor.
To avoid the possibility of suffering from Tinnitus, one should not place objects like cotton swabs or Q-tips in the ear.
Also, if you work in a loud environment be sure to use ear protection such as earplugs or earmuffs.
