Online Success in the 21st Century
Online success is a term that can only be defined by you.
You don't have to be a millionaire or a GURU to be successful online.
Success is what you make of it.
If you are happy making $100 extra a month and you accomplish that goal then you are successful in your online venture.
If you are one of those who thinks online success is for the brilliant internet gurus then you are mistaken.
If you think of it, the internet has really only been around for about 15 years.
People really didn't start seeing the "online marketing" value until the late 90's.
The point I am trying to make is we are all basically in the same boat.
We all have an equal chance based on the infancy of the internet to make money.
The people making millions have a few years head start but think about that for a second.
These people started their companies, like Youtube, Myspace, eBay, Craiglist and Facebook all within the last 10 years.
What other venue other than the internet have you seen so many millionaires become so basically over night.
I have been studying online success for a few years now.
I have come to the conclusion that what makes online success possible is the ability to stick with something.
Make a plan and work it every day.
This means that you should sit down and write down all of your goals.
This would start with your short term goals then your mid range then of course your long terms goals.
An example of a short term goal would be to make your very first sale.
You build a product, you set up a website, you market the website and you work hard to get that first sale.
Once that first sale has been attained you then move on to your next goal.
A good mid range goal would be to make $100 a week.
This is a good mid range goal because it is not too big and can be done with just a few hours of work a day.
The next step is meeting your long term goal.
If your goal is to work from home and quit your 9-5 job then frame the goal to what you actually want to happen.
If you want steady daily income of $300 a day then make sure you reach that goal before quitting your job.
Setting goals and working diligently towards them is the key to success in your online venture.
Treat it like a real job.
Schedule your online work day and make sure you adhere to your schedule.
Take breaks if you need to but try to stick to your schedule.
You will be amazed with the results.
I wrote this article to point out that online success is based on what YOU want out of your online business.
Don't let other people dictate to you what online success needs to be and don't take every Gurus words as gospel.
Work the system and stick with it.
It is not an overnight thing, nothing good is.
Good luck and keep your dreams alive.
