Pet Friendly Condos at North Carolina Beaches

Traveling with pets requires additional preparation. Not all condominiums and vacation rentals allow pets, so finding a pet-friendly vacation rental is the first task. Be sure to learn about local laws governing whether your pet can go to the beach with you. Bring along a copy of your pet's most recent vaccinations and any other pertinent health information. Many North Carolina beaches are pet-friendly; however, you must follow local area laws. - Durant Station Condominiums is an oceanfront complex with ocean views from each condominium. There are several pet-friendly condos located in the complex, each of which charges a fee of $75 per pet and allows a maximum of two pets. Dogs are allowed on the beach at Cape Hatteras National Seashore provided they are kept on a leash shorter than six feet. All units at Durant Station feature full kitchens, private decks or balconies, Internet access and elevator service. Property amenities include a private swimming pool, heated spa, outdoor shower area, grill area and a walkway to the beach.

outerbeaches.com - North Topsail Beach welcomes visitors with dogs. During the peak season, from May 15 until September 30, dogs are allowed on the beach but must be kept on a leash. From October 1 until May 14 dogs may be off-leash on the beach, provided the dog is under voice command of its owner. Visitors can stay with their pet at one of Egrets Nest's pet-friendly condominiums. There is a fee of $170 per pet. There is no designated area on the property to walk dogs and owners are required to clean up after their pets. Condominium units all include a full kitchen, dining room, living area, storage shed and a washer/dryer.

The condominium complex is located close to the town of Beaufort and is near area attractions such as Emerald Isle, Fort Macon State Park and the North Carolina Aquarium. Unit 215 is a pet-friendly, three bedroom, two bathroom unit which features a kitchen, views of Carrot Island and the Intercoastal Waterway. Amenities include and in-unit washer/dryer, wireless Internet service and a covered deck. There is a non-refundable fee of $150 for guests bringing pets.
