How to Transfer Money to Romania
- 1). Select the company, such as MoneyGram or Western Union, which you want to use for making the transfer.
- 2). Find the nearest agent location for the selected company (see Resources).
- 3). Visit the agent location you selected.
- 4). Provide information concerning the recipient in the "Send Money" form. You have to give recipient's full name, address, and country of residence. While transferring funds from company agent location, the only payment option available to you is cash. Hand over the amount to be transferred, as well as the transaction fee. At this point, the agent gives you an MTCN/reference number for your transaction.
- 5). Share this number with the recipient. At this point, the recipient must visit the nearest agent location to receive the transferred funds. The recipient can use the "Agent Locator" link in Resources below to find the nearest agent location in Romania. He must carry along some personal identification, such as driver's license or ID card, as well as the MTCN/reference number.
