Nat tells John that she overreacted about the Atlantic City cop, and John can leave if he wants. However, he says he'd like to stick around if that's okay.
Nat smiles and agrees that she would like that. Later, she learns that the FBI is investigating Paul's disappearance. That means Kathryn is headed back to Llanview, and Nat is not allowed to leave town.
Viki's family notices a change in her after she speaks with Ben. She seems much more peaceful. Viki tells them that she's ready for whatever happens next, but Todd says he's not going to let her die. Dorian visits Ben and tells him that Viki needs a heart transplant today, or she won't make it through another night. She says, "The irony is that your heart is a perfect match, and yet, here you are lying in a coma. I don't know why I'm telling you this, because I know that you love her more than anyone else does. I'm sorry." Dorian gets up to leave, and Ben flatlines.
