Rat Pack Tribute Shows - Bringing Legends Back to Life

103 14
If you have seen other Rat Pack shows before, you know that capturing the magic requires much more than just sheer talent, striking resemblances to the originals, and experience.
Good tribute artists have to immerse themselves into the character whom they are impersonating and observe everything from the smallest twitches to the famous lines which made everyone love that member, and with a group as iconic as the Rat Pack, impersonation has to be taken to another level to do them justice.
First of all, the artists should have a strong personal affinity for the original group.
While performing, they would have to assimilate the characters into their own identities.
They would have to move like the group, sing the songs of the group, and interact with each other like the original Rat Pack.
This can be very hard to do, and all the more, impossible if any of the actors do not have any interest in the character they are impersonating.
Another is that while it may be quite hard to find people who would look exactly like the original members, it is very important for the performer to at least have some very evident resemblance to whomever it is that they will be impersonating.
In order for a performer to be credible in the role that he will be doing, it is easier to pull it off if there is a physical resemblance to the character.
Before performing, the group most plan carefully on how the show will go: the songs that will be sung in the show, their wardrobe, music, lighting and props, all to perfect the illusion.
The camaraderie of the cast both on and off stage, are also a key ingredient in bringing these legends back to life for us all to experience decades later.
