How to Adjust an X Mark

    • 1). Empty the gun of all ammo before making any adjustments. Put the rifle on a flat surface with the barrel facing away from you and the trigger facing up.

    • 2). Measure the trigger pull with your gauge. Place the front hook of the gauge on the trigger and pull back. If your rifle is out of the box, it should read at approximately 3-1/2 lbs.

    • 3). Insert the Allen wrench into the screw on the rifle, located at the top of the trigger shoot. Rotate the screw one turn counterclockwise to lighten the trigger pull. One turn is approximately one lb. of adjustment. If the trigger pull measured 3-1/2 lbs., then it will measure 2-1/2 lbs. after a full counterclockwise turn.

    • 4). Measure the trigger pull again to make sure it is at the measurement you want.
