  The 2006 Dodge Charger is a car made for muscle and comfort. The Dodge Charger was brought back in 2005 as a four-door car available with a high performance engine. The Dodge Charger is available in three trim levels, the Base model, RT and SRT8.
  
  

Powertrain

• The 2006 Dodge Charger comes with many choices for the engine. The base engine is a 3.5-liter V6 that is capable of 250 horsepower. The base also has the 2.7-liter V6 which is capable of 190 horsepower and the 5.7-V8 with 340 horsepower as optional engines on the 2006 Charger. The RT package comes equipped with the 5.7-liter V8 engine that can put out 340 horsepower. The upgrade for that trim level also has another engine that comes with ten more horsepower. The SRT8 is standard with the 6.1-liter V8 which can put out 425 horsepower. All the engine choices are backed by a five-speed AutoStick transmission. Comfort and Conveniences

• The 2006 Dodge Charger can seat five comfortably. The front seats are bucket seats and the back seat is a bench seat. The seats are available in leather or trim. The only exception is the SRT8, which comes equipped with sport seats in the front. The front seats are electric with an adjustable headrest. The heated seats are standard as well. The Dodge Charger is equipped with a sunroof and an overhead console for storage. The car is equipped with a AM/FM satellite-capable radio. Compact disc player is also included.
