• The Regal began life as a two-door vehicle from Buick. By 1999 the Regal had become a four-door sedan. According to MSN Autos, Buick marketed the 1999 Regal as a sport-sedan to attract a younger clientele. The 1999 Buick Regal is available in two trims: LS and GS. Regal LS Engine

• Powering the 1999 Regal LS is a 3.8-liter V-6 engine. The V-6 is designed with a 3.8-inch bore, a 3.4-inch stroke, a compression ratio of 9.4-to-1 and 12 valves. The engine churns out 200 horsepower at 5,200 rpm and 225 foot-pounds of torque at 4,000 rpm. Power is passed through a four-speed automatic transmission to the front-wheels.
