How to Earn Additional Characters on Mario Kart Wii
- 1). Race in the time trials. This is a great way to learn all of the different tracks that you will be racing on. After you finish racing 16 different tracks, you will earn Birdo. I think she is so cute! After you have tried racing on all 32 tracks, you will earn the classic character Toadette. To earn Toadette and complete all 32 tracks you will need to start working on your Circuits.
- 2). Race in the Grand Prix. The circuit races are great for unlocking additional characters on Mario Kart Wii as well as different karts and bikes. You will go through a series of races to collect all 32 different tracks. If you rank a one star or better on all the 50cc races you will be able to unlock Baby Daisy, which takes a lot of practice to achieve.
- 3). Play Super Mario Galaxy. If you have any saved data from Super Mario Galaxy you will automatically earn Rosalina. In my opinion she is one of the best characters because the bikes she drives are really fast. - 4). Beat the 100cc Special Cup. If in the 100cc Special Cup you place in first you will unlock your own Mii character. This is the character you created to represent yourself in the game. It’s kind of like your signature icon. They will be given karts and bikes to fit their size, and you will want to take that into consideration when designing them. The smaller you make the Mii, the faster karts and bikes he will be given.
- 5). Unlock expert staff ghosts in the time trials. This will earn you additional characters in Mario Kart Wii. An expert staff ghost is when you beat the initial ghost you are racing against by eight seconds or more. After you unlock four, you will be given Funky Kong as a new character, and after unlocking eight ghosts you will receive Baby Luigi.
