Your article writing and how to get them read. Thousands of people out there would rather have teeth pulled that write an article or paper. Many think that it is a waste of time to complete something like this and then have nobody read it. To many, actually reading is a chore especially if the content is not interesting or specific to their interests. Articles however, are meant to be read and as an article author it is up to you to make your work attractive and interesting. This is your goal.

Good article writing does not have to be hard work, you just need to keep a few things in the back of your mind as you write and follow a few guidelines. After your first few articles and your confidence builds you could find that writing is actually good fun. As well as being profitable for you and your website.

It is far easier to write about something you know. If you are a site owner you more than likely know a good deal about your sites topic. Consequently if you write about this it will be easier because you already know about it. All you have to do then is make your knowledge about the subject interesting, creative and readable. The following points may help.

Firstly, try and come up with a title that catches the readers eye. Try and entice them to read past the title by using questions or statements that reflect what people are searching for. Use phrases such as "How To" and "Tips to". You can also use words that direct them such as "Make" and "Do". Try and reach their emotions to make them read on.

Try to make your paragraphs short. Well sized paragraphs make the page appear pleasant and tidy with a reasonable amount of white space in between. If your article does not look pleasing on the eye a reader may well move on to another article written by a competitor. You don't really want that to happen do you?

If you wish use sub-headings to emphasise each paragraph.

Using bullet points or numbering will assist the reader to work his way logically through your article. It also helps to set out the page layout and again keeps it clean, tidy and well presented..

Use statistics and figures. People enjoy a few facts and figures. It can go a long way to convincing them of your perceived authority status in your subject. Don't be overly formal, try for light, easy and entertaining along with being informative.

Try to keep up their interest level. Remember, if they lose interest you've lost them to someone else. Use good descriptive words and don't over hype things. Hype and spin can be spotted a mile away. Use good graphical phrases which will cause them to be able to see what you are describing in their mind's eye.

Your mission should you choose to accept it is to make the experience both pleasurable and enjoyable for your readers. If they like your articles they may even look out for your next one.
