Sportz Plus
The Bears, the Colts, The Steelers, The Vikings, The Cowboys and The Buccaneers all won their matches this NFL week. Tonight the Eagles will play against the all too wonderful quarterback "Drew Brees" of the New Orleans Saints.
And if you cannot tell yet, football is my favorite sport. But in our new "Sports Plus" sports store and blog we will also advertise for many other sports like baseball and golf... and other sports like water sports.
My favorite team is not one that has ever been a Superbowl team in my short history of being a football fan. I only became an avid football fan in 2005 with the Buccaneers of Tampa Bay in Florida. And they were my first 2nd love in football... the all time forever favorite team is and always will be the Kansas City Chiefs.
While the Buccaneers were my first 2nd love in my beginning stages of being a football fan I also favored the Steelers and the Patriots because a couple of my close male companion friendships were huge were fans of those teams. Abe was a Steeler fan in 2003 and I had anther male friend named Cory was from New England and he was a huge fan of the Patriots.
Cory Mun (Cory Please get in touch with me if you read this article and thanks in advance for allowing me to share this) and I both roomed at a 110 year old boarding house "The House Of Mary Magedaline" Shelter in St. Petersburg, Florida in late 2005 and early 2006 that required us to work for them to be able to stay in the boarding house regardless of the rent that we paid.
Later Cory got his own place in downtown St. Pete.. the cutest little apt. in an ole timey rental house. Cory was the first one to tell me about the boarding house "The House of Mary Magedaline" being written up in the newspaper twice with real bad reviews for stealing people's food stamps and making disabled people work or they would threaten to throw them out in the cold winter weather of the Bay area during winter months.
We didn't seem to mind on some days because we would get to go to the Bucks games and get free NFL souvenirs or memorabilia and we would get to eat foot long chili dog hotdogs and french fries and watch the game from the booths where we served beer and foot longs. It was real hard work but it was so fun!
My legs would be hurting so bad about 1/2 way through the game that I would have to take off my shoes and go sit on the stairs and massage them. But It was fun. And a 1/2 days work there felt like a lifetime but it was so fun! We post a lot of fun NFL news and NFL gear, clothing and all kind of neat things on the new Sports Plus store & blog.
Cory worked at the Dan Marino's Town Tavern in St. Petersburg, Fl. But I still lived at the boarding house. Cory was nice enough to let me stay at his place while he worked and I could use his computer and I had a curfew at the shelter so I would lock up his place and go back to the boarding house. We were neck deep into football. Him with the Patriots and me with the Bucks.
The Kansas City Chiefs have a change of roster with their players. And Crennel is stepping back and allowing Gibbs to run the defense. They lost their coach Todd Haley to the Steelers about two years ago.
Now I love football period! I am so blessed to get to cheer for three teams here in California. But the Chargers are my favorite team second only to the Chiefs. Next is the 49ers and then last but not least I cheer on the Raiders. You can check to see which team I pick here Sports Plus Sporting Store and blog.
All the rest of the teams in the NFL just have to play it by ear to see which team I will pick each game. Like tonight the Eagles VS the Saints... GO EAGLES! That is how I do it. I don't know if they will win but I sure want them to!
I post updates and NFL news on my Sports Plus Sports store & Halftime Blog and I have fun things there for sports fans of all kinds to find gear and wardrobes to fit their teams needs or the fans needs.
We hope that you can visit the blog weekly to get game scores or important team player information or just the latest NFL news. The blog will be updated weekly during Preseason, during the playoffs and during the entire season until the Superbowl plays. Then it will not be as active during the off season months.
