History in the past has written about the Indian fighters who wore simple pieces of cloth around their waist. It gave them the space to walk freely and do wonders. Over the years, various countries and states, the name dhoti has been changed and renamed several times. It was derived from Sanskrit and the meaning along with it changed.
 
The idea of wearing a single piece of cloth around the waist didn't go down too well with a lot of people but over a period of time, it was made a custom and tradition in the south. Dhoti has been worn bare chested, with kurtas or with simple trousers and pants. Fashion has changed tremendously over time and has come up with the latest in clothes.

Every wedding or function, both men and women are seen wearing the latest in Fashion. The world of fashion has come to respect people's taste in clothing. Kanchipuram sarees were something that never really changed and it continued to make its statement in the fashion world. Women in the political world have often come across wearing a Kanchipuram silk saree.

The concept of wearing a dhoti and language is entirely different since they are 2 different attires and 2 different forms of dresses. The elegance and sophistication in wearing one is a mark of the making of a man's grace and etiquettes.  Men in the world of politics are  comfortable in wearing simple clothes.  It was one attire that made itself famous and well known with the chaos and havoc it created.

Certain traditions do not fade away with time since there are a few people who have kept their values and believes going. Colors like white and cream are one of the most common men have often bought in a dhoti.  It is best worn in the summers since it keeps the legs cool and it does not allow much perspiration. It is 5 meters in length and can be worn in various ways.

Kanchipuram sarees look gorgeous when made with bright colors and computer graphics put on them.  The drawings made on the saree are heay and quite big compared to the others sold at the local stores.  The saree industry helps in delivering sarees at a person's doorstop. The sarees are inspected before being sold at the stores. The quality of the sarees being sold at the stores are not poor quality and the businessmen or storekeepers make sure the quality sold are perfect.

The sarees are delicate woven pieces that are not meant to be man handled by people at the stores. The kanchipuram sarees are woven at the temples and then taken to various stores and sold across the globe. These sarees are made in a forthnight and are sold over a period of time. 3 threads stranded together make an entire saree and hold it together. Even if the saree tears by mistake, the thick borders stay intact.

The silk of the saree is not accessible or available in the south and is flown in from Andhra Pradesh and Surat. Dhoti are sold in varieties and are doing well for themselves. The only problem with the  weaving business is that  the younger or rather the newer generations are not interested in the business and have often felt that they can make their lives alot more productive.  

Every traditional dress has a story or symbol behind it that makes pure and rich. Dhoti has its autheticated mark on the border to prove that it was woven with pure cotton or wool and it has been mixed or fabricated.
