Learn to Paint Your Dance Shoes
Dance shoes are available in limited and mostly neutral colors because most dancers will buy only one or two pair of shoes and use them with a lot of dresses.
Yet, dancing is an art and as a dancer you may want to express yourself through what you wear.
After all style makes a statement too, so express your creativity by painting your dance shoes.
It is fairly easy to do and painted dance shoes really stand out from the crowd.
Painted sneakers look amazing as well for hip-hop dancing as they are easily painted with fabric paint.
Here are the things that you will need: 1.
Paper towels 2.
Fabric paint 3.
Design stencils 4.
Paint brushes 5.
Old rag 6.
Sponge Here is how to do it: 1.
Start by stuffing your dancing shoe with a paper towel so that the inside of the shoe remains protected.
This will prohibit any paint from sticking on the inside of your shoes and ruining the inside padding.

Now place it on an old rag so that you don't create a mess in your room.

Now choose a color that you want to apply to the base of the dance shoe or sneaker.
Paint the entire shoe this color.
Once you have painted designs on your shoe you won't be able to paint around them so do this first.
Now leave the shoes to dry.

Before you continue make sure that the shoes are fully dry.
Now select your favorite stencil design that you want to paint on your shoe.
Place it on top of your shoe where you want to paint the design.

Mix the color that you want to apply on the shoe in a mixing tray.
Apply paint to the sponge.
Dab that onto the stencil to draw the shape where you desire it on the shoe.
Now remove the stencil carefully so that the paint doesn't spread and allow it to dry.

If you are good at drawing then use a paint to draw shapes on your dancing shoes.
7.
If the color has not come out as you desire then apply a second coat.
8.
Use a hairdryer to apply heat to fabric paint.
Heating the fabric paint seals the color.

Once your painted dance shoes or painted sneakers are completely dried, you now remove the paper towels from the inside.
