But before you ask how high you need to jump, you need to make sure you are looking in the right places.
You don't want to waste your time or money on information that will lead you nowhere.
Most of the commercials for books or CDs that you might see on television advertisements or various websites are actually scams that are looking to take your money.
The products that they push on you might very well have information on grants, but it usually isn't what you need.
The bulk of the book will be telling you how to fill out your applications or maybe what different phrases that you'd find in grant descriptions mean.
That's information you can find on-line for free.
Those books might even have a list of grants that you can apply for in them and they're often outdated with deadlines that are already long gone.
In fact, to put it simply, anything that is asking you to pay for grant information is not one of the best ways to find government grants.
What you should be doing is looking on government websites that have the current lists of grants along with deadlines, requirements, and applications.
Some websites that charge money are legit and will have information you need, but again, why pay when you can have it for free? When you find a site with the information, check to make sure they have good customer service or at least people available to answer your questions.
From there you can search for grants and apply to the ones that meet your needs.
