Tailgating From the Comfort of Home

If you are unable to make it to the big game for the weekend, but you still want to have the experience of a tailgate party.
Well, it is possible to bring the party to your house.
There are just a few simple altercations that can make it feel like you are at the game.
Depending on your location and setup this may or may not be possible, but for those that can take advantage of this opportunity I definitely recommend trying it at least once.
It will save you a lot of money and still give you a great time.
Instead of watching the games inside on the couch bring it to the outdoors where you friends and family can enjoy the weather and the game.
If possible, setup a television outdoors, so you can watch the game while you party.
If not, you will have to do all the party before the game starts (which is basically the same way it happens at the game).
Although I think it would be more fun to be outside watching the game because how many times do you actually get the chance to do this.
First of all you do not want to get too carried away with trying to make this a spectacular party because just like when you are going to tailgate at the stadium you want to pack as light as possible to keep the work to a minimum.
Keep the food simplistic.
This will help feed larger crowds that may not have all the same taste buds.
Sometimes less is more.
All you really have to do is fire up your barbecue grill, outside of course, and you are ready to go.
Not to mention you have access to all your accessories in the kitchen which will make your life much easier.
Finger foods are also always a big hit because it is something easy to make and eat.
This allows your guest to nibble on snacks before the main course.
Next, I would setup tables with your team's colors for decorations.
This will give your guest somewhere to sit to watch the game, and create a festive mood to get you more involved in the game.
You do not have to spend a lot of time or money for this.
Something as simple as alternating colors for table clothes would work, but you can be as creative as you want.
There is no limit to decorations.
One last step is to put out some games to play to help pass the time before and after the game.
Bags, cards, or whatever your favorite games are you can incorporate into the tailgate party.
There is no wrong way to keep yourself entertained.
The big idea is just getting outside and being able to enjoy the outdoors for the day instead being cramped inside all day.
So try this out.
You may be surprised how easy and fun this can be!
