How to Check the Balance on a Green Dot Card
- 1). Visit www.greendotonline.com and click the "create online password" located on the left side of the screen. If you already have an account, you can skip to Step 2.
- 2). Log on to your account using your account number and the new password on the left side of the home screen.
- 3). Check the main screen, in the "overview" section to locate your available balance, recent and past transactions.
- 1). Call the Green Dot customer service line and access the automatic system to check the balance on your card. The number is 1-866-795-7597.
- 2). Have your card handy and follow the prompts to enter your account number and zipcode.
- 3). Press "0" on your phone's dial pad to speak with a representative. If you can not access the automated system. A fee in the amount of $1 may be accessed to your account in the event you need further assistance from a customer support representative.
- 1). Call the Green Dot customer service line and request to add mobile alerts to your cellular phone. The numbers is 1-866-795-7597 or complete the registration form online by logging on to your account and selecting "register for text messages."
- 2). Activate the registration by confirming the text.
- 3). Reply to the text with "Balance" to receive a text in return, with your available balance information.
