While planning your vacation to Walt Disney World Resort, it's important to look at the variety of restaurants available near your hotel. If you have children, your dining needs will be different from those of a romantic couple. Whispering Canyon Cafe is an Old West-style restaurant that specializes in country fare. This restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and offers a wide range of desserts.
The country breakfast offerings include a Canyon Skillet with an "everything on the menu" type sampler as well as regular breakfast items such as omelets, pancakes, waffles and oatmeal.
Their lunch menu has a few surprises such as a number of seafood items not completely in theme with the Wild West, and some more exotic salads such as quinoa and arugula. There is also the lunch themed Canyon Skillet s well as pulled pork, chicken and baked beans.
For dinner some of the lunch dishes are repeated but with larger serving sizes, including the dinner version of the Canyon Skillet. Some of the dinner selections available are steak, trout and meatloaf. The meal wouldn't be complete without dessert and Whispering Canyon Cafe's dessert menu offers sweet adult beverages as well as cheesecake, pecan pie, and a berry dish with ice cream.
The cafe's menu prices range from $15 to $40 and the restaurant is non-smoking. Also note that they can also do specialty cakes if you're there for an event and make reservations ahead of time.

Artist Point's cuisine and decor are inspired by the Pacific Northwest, with a rustically elegant setting. This restaurant is more adult oriented, with a wine list of 131 selections exclusively from Washington State, Oregon and the Greater Pacific Northwest wineries.
Open only for dinner, the restaurant has a long list of appetizers such as Penn Cove Mussels Braised in Red Thai Curry Sauce, and Pulled Hoisin Short Rib with Asian Slaw. Their entrees are no less elegant, with a variety of seafood, steak and chicken dishes. Their specialty is the cedar plank-roasted salmon and the dessert menu includes chocolate terrine as well as house-made ice cream.
Artist Point does have a dress code for guests. Men must wear khakis, slacks, jeans or dress shorts, and collared shirts with optional sport coats. Woman are advised to wear capris, skirts, dresses, jeans or dress shorts. Although T-shirts have been recently allowed, they cannot have offensive graphics or language.
Prices for this elegant restaurant range from $36 to $60.

For a quick bite or snack, Roaring Fork is a fast-food-style venue with less expensive, kid-friendly fare. Typical favorite breakfast food, such as pancakes and oatmeal, are served in the morning. Lunch and dinner includes chili, burgers and sandwiches. The diner also offer a children's menu as well as snacks and cookies. The pricing is generally under $15.

Territory Lounge offers a short menu with items such as flatbread and wings. Most menu items are priced below $15, and the restaurant also serves a variety of beer and alcoholic drinks.
