Competition Format
This year's World League tournament features three pools of six for a total of 18 teams, up from 16 last year. Pools A & B are based on world rankings as of August 2012. Pool C is made up of the next best four teams plus two wild cards. Rankings below are current as of January 2013.

Six teams will qualify for the World League Finals including the top two teams from Pools A and B, plus the winner of Pool C and the host country, Argentina.

Since Argentina is in Pool A, three teams from that pool will make the final. Teams in bold would make the final if it were held today.

Matches will be streamed live and aired on television in the U.S. on tape delay via NBC Sports Network.
