Be warned however, that after stealing, your name will change to THIEF and if you enter the store again, the store owner will kill you. Secret seashells are located all over the game world, and will allow you to upgrade your sword. After upgrading your sword, you will be able to fire sword lasers at enemies at full health.   When choosing a starting Pokemon from the professor, it's important to remember that these will likely be your more powerful allies in the beginning of the game. Since the first Pokemon trainer uses flying-type pokemon, try to catch a Geodude and use his rock slide attack to win your first badge. If you find an item called the Pokerus, let one of your Pokemon hold it during battle; they will gain double experience. When breeding Pokemon at the Pokemon Daycare Center, try mating a Ditto with any other pokemon. The Ditto will mimic the sex and species of the other pokemon, making breeding those rare Pokemon much easier.

To unlock stage select, beat the game one time. This will open up new missions as well, offering new insight into the story. If you are seen by a guard or an electronic camera, try leaving the area and returning. This will reset the alarm, allowing you to try the area again without guards hunting for you.
