How to Make a Halo PC Server
- 1). Visit the Microsoft.com Halo Download Page listed below to get the Halo dedicated server files, update and maps.
- 2). Download the files and save them to a readily accessible location, such as your top level directory.
- 3). Run the server files, then update, then finally maps. The downloads are .exe self-extracting files which will install all of the necessary components on your server.
- 4). Enter the directory created by the server files and run haloded.exe. This is the launch program that will start your local Halo server.
- 5). Provide players with your server's IP address, or direct them to the listing that appears when you connect your server to GameSpy's Halo server listings. The default setting for the server is to list with GameSpy so that others may find you.
