    • 1). Open Photoshop, then click "File," "Open" and select your image in the window that pops open.

    • 2). Select "Image," then hover over "Adjustments" and click "Desaturate" from the slide out menu. This removes the color from the photograph and turns into base black and white tones. From here you can adjust the colors you want to add.

    • 3). Click "Image" and "Adjustments." Then select "Color Balance." A new window will pop up on the screen with levels for color adjustments to the red, green and blue colors in the photograph.

    • 4). Move the color level adjustment bars for each color to alter the color of the photograph. Using this tool, you can change the photograph color to any variation you want just by adding more red, green or blue.

    • 5). Select "Image" and "Adjustments." Then click "Hue/Saturation." Another window pops open with levels for the hue, saturation and lightness values. Changing these levels will also change the color in the photograph. You can darken the hue, increase the saturation of the color, and make the photograph lighter or darker.
