    Activating your Cable Box

    • 1). Position your digital converter in a spot where it will have proper ventilation to prevent any electrical transmission interference, make your converter is spaced four-inches away from any other audio/visual electronics.

    • 2). Attach your power cord into your receiver and attach the power cord into an available wall outlet. Place one end of your inline coaxial cable (extension coming from the wall) to the cable IN port of the converter.

    • 3). With the first step of the installation completed, you will need to contact the customer service department of your cable provider to assist in the connection authorization of the digital converter from the home office. Usually they will send a signal to establish this connection.

    • 4). Once the digital converter is authorized, attach one end of the coaxial cable from your self installation kit to the TELEVISION/VCR port of the digital converter and the other end to your television Use your installation chart to configure any additional audio/visual equipment like DVD players or home theater systems. Put your batteries inside your cable television remote and use the programming guide to program your remote to your television and digital converter. Once the connection is established to your television, use the remote to power on your television and switch the channel to channel 3. You should see a interactive channel guide along the top or bottom of your screen

    • 5). If you finish the second step of the installation and you have no picture, try unplugging the cable box from the power outlet .Wait about 10 minutes and plug the power cord back into the outlet.This will reset the signal to the box.
