Asthma and Air Purifiers

Air purifiers clean the air of the most common triggers of asthma: pollution, dust, pollen and other irritants in the air.
Most of us take breathing for granted, but if you have asthma, you know the value of breathing clean air.
Asthma is called by different names like reactive airway disease, asthmatic bronchitis, bronchial asthma, and wheezy bronchitis but they all mean one thing.
Most of the attacks are triggered by inhaled substances such as animal dander, dust, feather, and pollen.
Irritants can also trigger the attacks such as cigarette smoke, odors, gases, and dirt.
The air passages and the lungs are the main sites for the asthma attack and asthmatics usually have problems in their respiratory tracts.
Air purifiers in the home or office can remove most of the irritants that cause asthma attacks and make breathing easy and life bearable.
When shopping for an air humidifier purifier it's important to know three things.
First, what are the specific irritants that are causing your attacks.
It's not the same for everyone.
If your primary problem is pet dander or pollen, be sure the filter you're considering will handle those specific particles.
Second, what is the size of the area you need to clean? Some people make the mistake of buying an air filter that is too small for the space.
They might end up moving the filter from a living/dining room to a smaller space like a bedroom and effectively imprisoning the asthma suffering in that room.
Third, would it be useful to have an air purifier that is also a humidifier? Many people, especially those if very dry climates, are helped by adding some amount of moisture to the air.
