• The Grand Portage Lodge and Casino is located on the shores of Lake Superior in northeastern Minnesota, just minutes form the Canadian border. The lodge includes an indoor pool on the second of three floors and has easy, covered access to the restaurant and the casino. Both Grand Portage State Park and the Grand Portage Nation Monument are inside the Indian reservation and offer year-round outdoor activities. • Black Bear Casino Resort, located two hours north of Minneapolis and a half-hour south of Duluth, is owned and operated by the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa. The modern looking hotel has more 400 guest rooms in a 12-story tower. The hotel includes a massage parlor, arcade, coffee and tobacco shops and a 10,000-square-foot pool complex. The hotel and casino are located next to the Black Bear Golf Course, an 18-hole championship course. • Owned and operated by the White Earth Nation, the Shooting Star Casino is located in northern Minnesota, close to the North Dakota border. The hotel on the property has nearly 400 guest rooms and is connected to the casino. There are four restaurants, ranging from a deli to a fine dining establishment. The hotel also has access to a spa where you can get a facial, body wrap or massage. The casino has more than 1,000 slot machines and tables for poker and blackjack.
