Do You Know the Future of Social Networking?
The future of Social Networking We are at an age where there is an internet explosion? Everyone looks at social networking sites.
We all know or are among people who look at facebook or twitter for more than 4 hours a day.
Why do we do this? Historically are we bound to do this? First let's tackle that and then talk about the next 100 years.
The caveman attitude Let me take a step back.
wait!! let me take a long step back to the time of cavemen.
During that time, what happened? In the family men had to hunt food and the women had to take care of the children.
(Though not in context let me give you some gyan here.
The neanderthals didn't do this.
The men and the women hunted and some scientists believe that is what lead to their demise.
) So what happened? gossiping and making fun of each other was common (Michio Kaku says this in one of his books, don't exactly remember which one) and now what has happened is, we are able to do this in a wider scale.
That is the same thing that happened when the television came.
Few people were able to share their information with others.
We, as human beings usually share stuff, we love talking about our things and when the platform gets bigger, we start sharing more.
It is in our innate nature to share and that is why we share.
The future So what about the future? What about 50 years from now or 100 years from now? (Provided we don't blow ourselves up ).
Obviously, the trend is going to grow.
Mostly it will not be Facebook or Twitter or some other site for that matter.
It would be something else.
We would be in the internet in the blink of an eye and we would be able to surf the web easily.
It is still so premature, as I see it, that I need to type this article and you get to read it.
I must be imagine and you should get it.
That would be cool.
I am not saying science has not progressed much.
I am a researcher and hence there are times I get to see research as and when it is happening in science at least and hence I shall not claim otherwise.
But my logic is only this, as time progresses you can use a specs and go to the net and this will be replaced in a few more years by you going online when you want and have a good time with your friends.
And social networking is not going to come down.
It's going to go UP and UP.
