Freecorder

• 1). Download Freecorder and follow the installation instructions.
  
  
• 2). Launch the program and click "Settings." Click the blue folder next to the "Storage Directory" field and select the desired location of the audio once you've extracted it.
  
  
• 3). Navigate to the video on Google Video that contains the audio you wish to extract.
  
  
• 4). Press the "Record Audio" button in Freecorder, then press play in the video. Freecorder will begin to capture the audio, as registered by the visualized waves in the program.
  
  
• 5). Press "Stop Recording" in Freecorder when you have finished capturing the audio. The extracted audio will appear in the preselected directory.
  
  

Audio Hijack

• 1). Download Audio Hijack, a Mac compatible program. Install and launch as directed.
  
  
• 2). Click on the web browser listed in the program window and click "Hijack" to launch the browser (if the web browser you use is not listed in the window, Click "New," then browse for the program).
  
  
• 3). Navigate to the video that contains the audio and click "Record" in Audio Hijack. Begin playing the video.
  
  
• 4). Press "Record" a second time to stop the capturing process. The audio file will appear on the desktop as an aiff file. This is an uncompressed audio format that can play on all audio players.
  
  
• 5). Convert the file if desired to an mp3 (much smaller file size, though does incur some loss in audio quality) by launching iTunes and dragging the file into the iTunes library window. Click "iTunes->Preferences" and click the "Import Settings" button. Select "Mp3 Encoder" from the drop down menu and click "OK." Back in the library window, Control+Click on the audio file you recently imported and choose "Create Mp3 Version." The converted version will appear under the original file in the library window.
